Any application which requires more than one transformer, a transformer and DC power supply or similar variation should be evaluated as a potential combination product. By designing a transformer product with multiple isolated secondaries that share a common core, MARELCO can design and manufacture a component which replaces a number of transformers and power supplies with a single unit. Cost savings is realized by reducing the time it takes to install a number of individual components. Heat within the electrical panel and the panel space requirements can be reduced by including the smaller transformer in the larger exterior mounted unit. Component cost can be reduced because the typical combination product’s cost is lower than the combined purchase price of the equipment it replaces.
