E-trailer Design
MCS has developed a computerized process for providing an ECAD designed, fully wired, industrial system trailer to house your new environmental remediation system. By integrating your system PID, and equipment layout plan (3D equipment dimensions required), MCS can provide and install your system control panel, service disconnect, conduit, light w/ switch, heater w/ T'Stat, Fan w/ T'Stat and any other combination of required electrical equipment. The cargo trailer can be provided by MCS, or it can be delivered to MCS through your company's financing.

Some possible benefits of this process are as follows:

- Reduced cost of electrical system wiring, especially for Hazardous Class I Div I or II locations.
- On-Site wiring can be completed at reduced cost by local electrician on out-of state projects.
- Remediation equipment and plumbing can be installed by your employees or contractors.
- PVC plumbing and hoses are flexible and can be installed around rigid electrical conduit and explosion proof fittings with no increase in cost.
- Project timeline and/or funding may benefit from starting the electrical phase first.

Equipment can be installed prior to delivery, or afterward. The process is flexible, and allows for the option to begin the electrical installation ahead of equipment delivery. Only flexible conduits (meeting the requirements of the equipment location) will need to be installed, and wires terminated between the motor/sensor, and the nearest junction box. All necessary wires are pulled and labeled, per the documentation, and are tested free of short circuits prior to delivery.

Marelco Current Limiter

AVOID COSTLY CONTROL PANEL RE-DESIGN REQUIRED BY UL 508A AND NEC 409 SHORT CIRCUIT CURRENT CHANGES!
UL 508A and the 2005 National Electrical Code (NEC Article 409) dictate that the short circuit current rating (SCCR) on each component must be evaluated and the overall control panel SCCR must be calculated and labeled, "by UL Approved Methods." Many existing control panel designs are composed of components listed at 5,000 or 10,000 Amps SCCR. According to the 2005 NEC, control panels of this type are limited to installations where the available supply fault current is less than the labeled SCCR on the control panel. For many large industrial facilities, the available fault current can be as high as 200,000 Amps!

In order to be in compliance with the 2005 NEC, many OEMs are facing significant engineering re-design costs, for both new and modified (or re-located) equipment. Component prices and control panel sizes will increase, due to the incorporation of higher SCCR components.*

A COST EFFECTIVE SOLUTION!
Marelco has developed a new power device called the MARELCO CURRENT LIMITER, which can be installed in the primary feeder circuit between the main disconnect and your control panel. This device is labeled for installations up to 200,000 Amps SCCR, and will limit the available fault current to your equipment to less than 5,000 Amps SCCR at 480VAC!**

WHAT DOES THIS REALLY MEAN?
This means that you now have a practical "Customer Option" where your existing equipment designs can be safely installed, without site specific re-design, installation red-tags and production delays, with the incorporation of a MARELCO CURRENT LIMITER on your equipment installations!

AFFORDABLE OPTIONS
- Current Ratings: 100, 200 or 400 amps 3 Phase
- Voltage ratings: 480 VAC 60 Hz
- Enclosure Ratings: UL Type 4/12 (Standard) and 4X S.S. (Optional)
- Surge Protection: TVSS @ 80kA (Optional)

*Panel Analysis and Design Services are available through MARELCO's Controls Division for modest fees.
